Trip To Alabama

Here are the excited kids. They are getting to go to Alabama for the first time. They are going to get to meet their new Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Grandparents.
We had a LONG layover in Colorado. I got out the DVD player so they could watch the Pacifier. They love that movie.
We didn't get into the Birmingham airport until midnight. The kids did sleep a little on the last flight. But were glad to get all snuggled into bed. Elle thought they looked like they were in the clouds.
Kizer and Elle loved the pool at Ma Grahams. We can't wait to get back to Ma Grahams for another visit.

On our trip we just had to go to Ma Grahams and go swimming. The kids would have stayed there every minute if we had let them.
Here is my brothers little girl, Kendall.
Ma Graham got all of the girls bunnies with their names monogrammed on the ear. They are too cute! Thank you Ma Graham!
Elle and Kizer had a great time meeting their Papa and getting to know their new cousins.
Of course anytime anyone goes to Aunt Betty's you will get spoiled. Here she is letting Kizer drive the golf cart.

The reason for the trip to Alabama was that my family was giving Kamron and I a wedding reception. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Here we are at my mom's after the party.
The kids and the grandparents and I came on Wednesday and Kamron flew in on Friday. He was glad to be able to fly back home with us. We got on the same flights and even got to sit together.
Here is Grandma and Grandpa Sams.
On the way to Alabama, Elle got a motion sick. Here Kizer is giving Elle a hug and saying she made it this time without getting sick. We were all happy about that.

Here we are on our three hour and 44 minute layover. We brought dinner with us.
Elle and Kizer decided to entertain us. Elle said that her head was magnetic...notice the coins stuck to her head.
Kamron showed Kizer a new trick. You put the coin on your elbow and then catch it in your hand.
Getting onto our last flight. Finally!
Here the kids are in the cockpit with the pilot.
It was a long day but a wonderful trip to Alabama. The kids want to go back every summer. Oh, how I hope we can afford it. Flying with four can get expensive.

Free Fishing Day

All over Idaho this Saturday was Free Fishing day. Most areas that were hosting this event provided fishing poles, snacks, and drinks.
Last night we all went outside and hunted for worms. We found enough, but if we had started a little earlier we would have found more since the flashlights seemed to run off the worms. :)
Here is Elle with her first catch of the day. She ended up catching 3. Notice they are small Blue Gills.
Here is Kamron teaching Kizer how to take his fish off of the hook. Kizer ended up catching 4 fish.
After we had been there for a while they came around and said they were going to have a drawing. So we went over and registered really quickly, probably the last ones to register that day. Elle and Kizer ended up winning something. Kizer won the fishing vest he is wearing and Elle won a disposable camera. It was a good end to a great day!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Memorial Day weekend we went to see Kamron's sister's that live in Oregon. While we were there we took a trip farther up in the mountains to a Flea Market. Oh course the whole weekend it rained. Her we took a break from the rain to get ice cream. Here we are with Kamron's sister Kaidee.
Here is Kaidee's husband Cody, yeah can't really see him. Her two children Fallon and Wyatt. There on the end is Kielee's oldest daughter Emily.
Here is Kamron's sister, Kielee and her husband Mark. I have really enjoyed getting to know all of Kamron's family. I couldn't ask for better in-laws.

Swan Falls Dam

I am amazed every time we go somewhere new at how much it looks like the Wild, Wild West. We took a drive a couple of weekends ago, this is only about 45 minutes out of town. We drove down to Swan Falls Dam. Notice their is still snow on the mountains.
This is an aerial view of where we are headed. Straight down.
It was a lovely day for a picnic.
Here Elle and I are relaxing in the sun.

In the background if this picture you will see an old power plant. The new one is on the far right. Kamron and Kizer are always looking for a good place to go fishing.

Elle's Kindergarten Graduation

Don't you know when it is the more important pictures that your camera has to act up. Well here a couple of pictures from Ell's graduation. They are a little dark but at least we captured the moment.
Here is the star of the day. We went back to Elle's class and watched a DVD of her school year. It was fun seeing her in her everyday class. Some teachers just don't get it though. The DVD ran about 30 minutes. Way to long for all those kids to sit still.

Second Place Champions

Finally our lives are back to normal, well at least a little more normal. We have been going to baseball games twice a week and practices on Saturdays. But it all ended this Saturday. Kizer's team the Defenders, with Kamron as Assistant Coach, won second place in the Nampa Babe Ruth League.
Here is our little slugger. He got the Fantastic Batter Award. He always got a hit, even if it was caught.
Here are some of his teammates after they had gotten their trophy's.
We had a end of the season party. Here is Elle enjoying the cake.
Of course it rained a little but we had a couple of tents.
